Cecil Webster, MD

Dr. Webster is a Harvard-trained, board certified psychiatrist in Boston providing psychotherapy and medication management to adults, adolescents, and children. Dr. Webster is a physician educator at Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital.  He is a psychoanalyst and an advanced candidate in child psychoanalysis at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute where he serves on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Webster serves on the Board of Editors for the Psychoanalytic Study of the Child. Additionally, he also served as Clinical Program Director of Diversity Health Outreach Programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he remains a consultant.

Dr. Webster completed his general psychiatry residency at the Menninger Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine where he was selected co-chief resident. He completed additional training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Cambridge Health Alliance.

  • Dr. Christine Crawford is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist specializing in adult, child, and adolescent mental health. She joins Webster Clinic after more than a decade of leadership in academic medicine and community mental health, bringing deep expertise and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care.

    Before joining the practice, Dr. Crawford served as Vice Chair of Education and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine. In 2025, she was honored with the Educator of the Year Award at Boston University.

    Dr. Crawford previously provided care at Boston Medical Center’s Wellness and Recovery After Psychosis (WRAP) Program and served as Medical Director for Boston Public Schools’ school-based clinician program. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Boys and Girls Club of Boston and is deeply committed to expanding access to quality mental health care for underserved youth and families.

    A trusted media expert, Dr. Crawford has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, NBC, PBS, and The Boston Globe, and has appeared on the Today Show, BBC, and local affiliates of CBS, Fox, and ABC. In 2025, she was featured on the cover of Boston Magazine as one of their Top Doctors.

    Dr. Crawford currently serves as Associate Medical Director for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. She is also the author of You Are Not Alone: The NAMI Guide to Navigating Your Child’s Mental Health, a vital resource for parents and caregivers supporting children through mental health challenges.
